Amigos de Animales is thrilled and proud to announce that as on July 15th 2024, Amigos de Animales has now sterilized a total of 30,000 dogs and cats in and around San Miguel de Allende since our founding in 2001. This is a MASSIVE achievement that would not have been possible without your support and the help of hundreds of volunteers, donors and the vision of our founder, Arno Neumann and a group of dedicated founding donors and board members.
We would also like to acknowledge the giant contributions of both Nancy and Bob Sylvor who kept Amigos going for so many years as volunteers, board members, and major supporters.
Given the rate at which cats and dogs can reproduce, we estimate that we have prevented literally MILLIONS of unwanted dogs and cats from being born, and likely suffering a terrible life and often a tragic death. Our core mission is to reduce the suffering of cats and dogs due to their overpopulation. Amigos de Animales continues its mission with the support of many generous donors and volunteers.
